About BIAS Virtual Airline

Belgian International Air Service was a real world airline that started in late 1950's. They were mainly known for cargo and charter operations, with extensive flying within the former Belgian Colonies in Africa, utilizing DC4 and DC6 aircraft. In Europe they flew mainly cargo and charter flights and they later expanded to DC8's. However the airline disappeared off the scene in the early 1970's.

As a Virtual Airline, we are projecting BIAS into today's world. From our home base at EBOS (Ostend), we offer passenger as well as cargo flights to the entire world. We cover the European continent as well as the Americas, Africa and Asia; the planet.

You fly when you want and where you want. We leave the departure and destination up to our crews. For those that want to fly in a more structured way, we offer a database with extensive flight plans to choose from. We offer the most modern equipment for you to fly, pay ware (if you have it in your personal inventory) as well as matching free ware. This is an ongoing process, based upon the recommendation of our crew and these decisions are made collectively.

At Biasva you will find a friendly warm welcome by a group of Flight Sim pilots that enjoy our hobby to the max. Some of us, real life pilots, will dig back into the memories to relive the real life flying experiences.

We fly for fun with as much realism as possible and will try to help make your FS experience as rewarding as possible with us. All we ask is your adherence to a few our ground rules.

  • You are a minimum of 14 years of age.
  • Our minimum requirement is that you have flown 50 hours online either with Vatsim or Ivao, the only pilot clients we accept. You must be member of either or both organizations.
  • We will transfer your hours you logged on either Vatsim and/or Ivao towards your totals.
  • Upon joining us, you must perform your first flight within 14 days of joining Biasva, online, with thereafter a minimum of 1 flight every 30 days.
  • If you are unable to perform a flight within 30 days, you can request a leave of absence for a maximum of 30 days.
  • All flights must be performed on line for them to count towards your total time with us.
  • We suggest you read the full set of regulations before you fill out the application. Do not waste your time applying if you cannot adhere to these minimums.
